A 10-month (full-time) certificate program that will prepare students to work alongside teachers and education professionals supporting the cognitive, psychological, social and emotional development of children and adolescents who have a wide range of exceptionalities. This certificate is designed for community members, and those aspiring to careers in education as an education assistant.This certificate offers a face-to-face program specializing in teaching students various types of interventions and supports for students who attend K-12 schools.

The courses in the program have been adapted to reflect and emphasize Blackfoot knowledge, culture, and ways of being and learning.

Transferable between post-secondary institutions
Complete the first 2 years at RCCC and an additional 2-3 years at the University of Lethbridge.
